Hi my name is Lucy Cocker. I am a final year physiotherapy student at the University of Birmingham, due to graduate July 2013. This blog will hopefully give you an insight into the journey I take in securing my first post and how I begin to progress throughout my career.
Lucy,
I have noted your interest in a physiotherapy career. Please take a look at our web site – we may be able to help you in your endeavours. If you are interested please contact me via our office in the UK.

Hi Nick, Thanks for your comment, what support is provided in these types of roles? As I am aware I am a new graduate and some work would be lone working. Thanks Lucy
Hi Lucy!
You have no idea how happy I am to stumble upon your blog! I’m in my final year of high school (year 13 IB student in HK) and am aspiring to become a Physiotherapist like you!
I recently sent in my application to UCAS applying for Physiotherapy in University of Birmingham and Southampton. Can you tell me your experience as a whole in Birmingham? What student life is like? The lectures/school work, etc?
I would love to hear back from you!
Thanks,
Joyce
Hi Joyce, I loved bham was a great university it is quite academic but loved my time there. Student life is ace at bham I didn’t want to leave it is a really nice campus and really close to the city centre !! I think all physio courses are quite intense compared to others you just have to be prepared for 9-5 lectures but as long as you plan your time it is completely manageable I still managed to do extra curricula activities. Good Luck with everything, if you have any other questions let me know. Lucy x
